Previously located in Alameda, California, Goolara CEO Philip Thorne looked at several factors and decided to relocate the business. “Our previous location had no recycling program, which was always a sticking point with us,” Thorne said. “This isn't an issue with the new location.” Another factor was the availability of a faster Internet connection. “Good communications requires a good Internet connection, and we have almost tripled our connection speeds at the new location. We also have employees who prefer to commute via mass transit, so we made sure we were close to mass transit.”
The move took place during the weekend of August 23 – 24, ensuring that there was no interruption to the weekday business schedule. “We were working in our offices in Alameda on Friday, and completely up and running in the new location before the weekend was over,” Thorne said. “The move couldn’t have been smoother.”
